This is a close up image of a weather vain wind mill, it was an art installation as part of the SO Festival, unfortunately there gone now :(
It would have been great for the town if they had left them on the park, they brightened the area up and the little kiddies just loved them.
That’s the problem with the SO Festival no lasting legacy for Skegness.
There was three of these giant windmills on Tower Gardens, they were about 7 or 8 feet tall and I couldn’t get an interesting full shot of them, so I opted for a close up.
When the wind blew the windmills they had little runners attached at the bottom and they would run.
I’ve always loved these weather vains since I was a child, I remember my Grandad had the little man that chops wood in his garden.
