This cheeky little chappie, followed behind us on our daily walk, I assume to see if we had any food, he followed us quite a way down the path then stopped on the curb he stayed there long enough for me to take several picture this one being the best.
I really like the contrast of the road against the starling with his vivid speckled chest competing with the texture of the road surface.
Everything balances up in this image, the starling on the curb with the double yellow lines instantly telling the viewer where the bird is.
Starling are wonderful birds I’m a real fan, they always make me smile I love everything about them, there confident, brash and fun, nothing about them is discrete they let you know exactly what they want even if it means sitting on your table at McDonald’s :).
